Adult ADHD Centre Shares Canada Day Message on Inclusion, Understanding, and Support for Adults with ADHD

Vancouver, BC, July 1, 2026,
As Canada marks 159 years, Adult ADHD Centre is recognizing Canada Day with a message of inclusion, awareness, and support for adults living with ADHD across the country.
Canada Day is a time to reflect not only on the country’s history, but also on the kind of future Canadians continue to build together. For Adult ADHD Centre, that future includes a more compassionate and informed understanding of neurodiversity, especially for adults who may have spent years feeling misunderstood, overlooked, or unsupported.
“Canada is strongest when people feel seen, included, and supported,” said Dr. Gurdeep Parhar of Adult ADHD Centre. “For many adults with ADHD, receiving the right understanding can be life-changing. It can help explain years of challenges with focus, organization, emotions, work, school, and relationships.”
Adult ADHD is often misunderstood as a lack of motivation or discipline. In reality, ADHD is a recognized neurodevelopmental condition that can affect attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, time management, and daily life. Many adults reach adulthood without a diagnosis, often blaming themselves for struggles that may have had an underlying explanation.
“This Canada Day, our message is simple,” added Dr. Parhar. “No one should have to shrink their challenges or struggle silently to be accepted. Support, clarity, and understanding can make a meaningful difference.”
Adult ADHD Centre continues to provide adult-focused ADHD assessments, education, and support for individuals seeking greater self-understanding and practical next steps.
As Canadians celebrate across the country, Adult ADHD Centre encourages families, workplaces, educators, and communities to continue building spaces where neurodivergent adults are respected, supported, and empowered.
