Counselling can address wellness, relationships, personal growth, career development, mental health, and psychological illness or distress. In Canada, counsellors can be Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), Psychotherapists, therapist, counselling therapists, Psychologist, Registered Social Worker or a Psychiatrist. It is important that you research counsellors, review their credentials and any subset specialties. Most counsellors will offer a complementary introductory session where you can discover if there is a connection where you will feel comfortable to share your experiences.
